We believe in promoting from within, and individuals hired in to a Patient Registrar role can move into Registrar 2 position, Team Lead role, and continue up into leadership. There are many opportunities in this area of revenue cycle.
 
We’re seeking a self-motivated individual to work as a Patient Registrar at the Tampa SSC in Largo, FL.  After orientation, the schedule is days, with rotating weekends. Paid training is provided.

When you join our Patient Access team, you will accept the important responsibility of:
  • Welcoming our patients and family members in a professional manner.
  • Answering patient and visitor questions. 
  • Contacting the nursing staff for emergency medical needs.
  • Interviewing incoming patients and accompanying responsible individuals to move through the registration process quickly and efficiently.
  • Explaining policies clearly to the patient.
  • Ensuring necessary signatures are obtained for treatment, verifying insurance and obtaining precertification/authorization.
  • Calculation and collection on patient liable amounts.
  • Processing patient charts according to paperwork flow needs and established productivity standards.




Job Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • At least one year of prior customer service experience.
  • Comfortable using and assisting patients in using technology.
