Job Description

The Coding Pool Coordinator provides support and assistance to the Central Coding Resource Management (CCRM) team for vendor scheduling, generating and analyzing reports, system access provisioning, tracking and monitoring of quality, productivity and Horizon Patient Folder (HPF) workflow queues.

Duties (included but not limited to):

  • Runs daily pend queue reports (11 p.m., AM and PM) and sends to vendors daily
  • Tracks pend queue volumes daily and sends weekly trending to CCRM management team and vendors
  • Runs daily URC reports and sends to vendors
  • Validation and tracking of vendor correction of errors identified through quality audits
  • Generates quality reports daily/weekly and sends to vendors as needed 
  • Generates rebill account lists and sends to HSCs 
  • Generates various daily/weekly reports (CDI worksheet, OOWF, etc…) and sends to vendors as needed
  • Assists Data Analysts to maintain data integrity of the SharePoint teamroom Offshore/HSC coding communication log
  • Takes meeting minutes for all weekly vendor calls and CCRM team meetings
  • Submits system access requests for vendor users
  • Assists in maintaining the vendor staff lists
  • Assists in scheduling coding resources appropriately according to established need as directed by the CCRM Manager/Director
  • Serves as a backup to the scheduling lead/manager in communicating  work schedules to the International vendors and staffing plans to the HSCs
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the scheduling tools and reporting functionality
  • Serves as a backup to prepare reports from the scheduling tools as needed
  • Maintain various files as requested by CCRM Management
  • Tracks and trends data as needed and provide outcome reports to CCRM Management


Job Requirements


  • High school diploma or GED required


  • Prior scheduling experience preferred.  
  • Minimum 1 year acute care hospital HIM experience preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills strongly preferred.
  • Previous Unbilled Clerk experience preferred.
