Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead by example and accountability to ensure excellence from each team member
  • Set, and prioritize goals for improved processes
  • Train, mentor and resolve account related questions for staff
  • Ensure the quality of each team members work product
  • Develop team members to resolve payment issues
  • Assist with development and implementation of department and project action plans
  • Assist with payroll activities for team members (i.e., time cards, edit sheets)   
  • Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”

 OTHER KEYS TO SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE:
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build productive relationships with other departments, coworkers, subordinates, patients and payers
  • Critical-thinking skill
  • Experience balancing financial transactions
  • Experience and skill obtaining detailed information from payers
  • The ability to resolve intricate accounts
  • Knowledge/experience analyzing and assessing reimbursement or payment
  • Knowledge of reading/interpreting payer contracts

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 
  • Communication - communicates clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
  • Customer Orientation - establishes and maintains long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations
  • Interpersonal Skills - able to work effectively with other employees, patients and external parties
  • PC Skills - demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and others as required
  • Policies & Procedures - demonstrates knowledge and understanding of organizational policies, procedures and systems
  • Basic Skills - able to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, punctuate properly, spell correctly and transcribe accurately

 Education 
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • College degree or degree-in-progress, preferred

Experience 
  • At least one year of related experience required
  • Prior leadership experience required. Informal experience will be considered.
