JOB SUMMARY:


The Payroll Training Developer is responsible for efficient and effective delivery of education and training associated with the Payroll Shared Service center. The Trainer is responsible for assisting with the development and maintenance of training materials and the facilitation of training classes related to the systems and programs that the Payroll Service Center (PSC) implements, such as Lawson, Kronos 4.1 & 6.0, etc.  The Trainer will work closely with Parallon Training leaders, Developers, and members of various SSC and PSC teams to obtain a working knowledge of systems, policies, and processes being implemented.  This person is a member of a cross functional team, which includes Business Owners, Project Management, and Information Technology.  The Trainer works closely with corporate teams and PSCs to help implement learning and change strategies that are consistent with the desired results.  As a highly visible department representative, this person consistently demonstrates a strong service commitment by continually striving to meet and exceed customer expectations.

 
 
DUTIES:


  • Executes established educational strategies for both competency-based and operational-based education initiatives.
  • Participates in and actively supports multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Assists in development, revision, and maintenance of content-specific, competency-based, and operational based education programs.
  • Facilitates and assists with training classes and distance learning modules for both soft skills and technical applications.
  • Coordinates logistics associated with education events and departmental meetings.
  • Maintains training administration records.
  • Extensive travel is required, including Corporate, Shared Services Center and facility site visits.




Job Requirements

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATE:


  • Minimum associates degree required.
  • Certified Payroll Professional considered a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement.



 
EXPERIENCE:


  • Minimum of 1 – 3 years of training, development and delivery experience required (including course design and training facilitation).
  • Experience with healthcare payroll preferred
  • Experience in a consolidated, multi-state payroll environment preferred
  • Web-based development experiences a plus.
