Parallon is an affiliate of Hospital Corporation of America (HCA Holdings, Inc.) and is a leading provider of healthcare business and operational services.  Parallon supports healthcare providers in the areas of revenue cycle (billing, collections, and denial management), technology, patient registration, insurance verification, and health information management.
The Senior Help Desk Analyst (In House Title: Senior Technology Specialist) is responsible for information security and smooth, reliable operation; develops documentation and assists in the creation of repeatable and reliable processes; assists with IT&S project planning and strategic planning; and supplements or supports other technical resources, as needed. On-call support may be required.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Providetechnical phone support to internal and external users.

  • Enterallproblems/requests into helpdesk tracking application.  Resolve or escalate when appropriate.

  • Follow up on existing work orders to ensure timely resolution.

  • Identify,analyze, and coordinate resolutionto problem trends received at the helpdesk.

  • Actively monitor and address emails sent to the IT&S mailboxes in a timely fashion.

  • Handle daily printing of reports.

  • Actively interactswith development and other departments for RPAS needs.

  • Serve as an escalation point for the Junior Help Desk Analyst and a liaison to the Lead Technology Specialist.

  • Maintaining awareness of system statuses/outages and reporting to RPAS clients in a timely fashion.

  • Self-Manages assigned projects with appropriate delegations to the Junior Help Desk Analyst.

  • Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”.

  • Others as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or university; or two or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • At least 2 years of experience in a technical role directly supporting application servers is desired.
  • Advanced training and/or certification in server or desktop management is helpful
