Job Summary

The Senior Communication Specialist role leads the planning, development and delivery of education communication strategies that support Parallon BPG Education, Transformation Management and IT&S initiatives. This position utilizes a variety of communication methods and channels to achieve desired initiative results, and ensure that stakeholders are well-informed and engaged. The Senior Communications Specialist works collaboratively with BPG Education, project or executive leads to ensure that strategic messages, plans and outcomes support identified objectives and adhere to BPG and customer guidelines. He/she distills complex content and scenarios into relevant messaging and strategies that inform and guide targeted audiences. This role provides consultation to internal clients on appropriate media, communication methods and key messages to best reach target audiences; he/she collaborates with departments to ensure an integrated communications approach.


Duties:

  • Manage the development and coordination of tailored communication strategies and plans supporting successful implementation of BPG Education and Transformation Management initiatives
  • Lead the creative and logistical execution of BPG education communications (project messaging and print collateral, web page content and updates, newsletters, non-standard surveys, town halls, etc.)
  • Drive positive organizational change through application of change management principles to communication strategies, plans and messages
  • Write, construct, coordinate and edit BPG Education project communications and newsletter
  • Manage content for BPG Education’s intranet pages utilizing HTML and CSS editing tools
  • Oversee production of print materials utilizing preferred third party printers
  • Lead creation and maintenance of annual editorial calendars for BPG Education and Project Services publications
  • Create and administer project or initiative-related surveys to collect feedback from employees or customers
  • Manage creation and editing of scripts or storyboards for BPG Education audio and video messages
  • Guide and support BPG departments and business units on varying communication efforts to include communication planning, message development, communication distribution and process management
  • Determine and often manage the distribution process of BPG Education communication methods and deliverables
  • Key contributor in planning and delivery of live communication (i.e., town hall) and facilitated (i.e., Rapid Design) events
  • Responsible for maintaining communication standards and coaching/guiding team members in application
  • Regularly evaluate industry communication products and methods to improve quality, efficiency and cost effectiveness
  • Stays abreast of industry trends and best practices for internal communications and change management communications


Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Communication, Journalism, or related field)
Experience

  • 5+ years in Communications
  • Demonstrated expertise in internal organizational communication using a variety of message channels
  • Demonstrated corporate web page development and graphic design experience
  • Healthcare business operations experience preferred
