Job Description

QA Specialist Job Functions

• Maintain constant flexibility in work schedule. Must be able to work all shifts at multiple facilities.

• Ability to be cross trained in Medicaid eligibility and perform duties accordingly.

• Will travel as required for contract support in both financial counseling and Medicaid eligibility.

• Demonstrate consistent productivity in meeting collection goals.

• Ability to perform administrative duties as assigned by area manager(s), including reports, emails, and phone calls.

• Responsible for training new/current employees as needed.

• Reports directly to area manager(s).

• Other assignments as assigned by area manager(s).

Job Requirements

Knowledge: Working knowledge of medical terminology, practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines. An understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient and the clinic/corporation.
Experience: Hospital/medical business office experience with insurance procedures and patient interaction. Strong familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures. College degree preferred or high school diploma (equivalent).
Competencies: Demonstrated communication, problem solving and case management skills and the ability to act/decide accordingly. Ability to collect, synthesize and research complex or diverse information. Exceptional customer service and the ability to plan organize and exercise sound judgment.
