Location: Supply Chain CSC - Nashville, TN

Position Summary:
 
The Purchasing Manager oversees the processing of all transactions associated with the purchasing of supplies/services, equipment, and office products required to support the market Service Center and participating facilities.
Supervise the day-to-day activities of all Purchasing staff.
  • Hire, develop, motivate, and train personnel, and provide a reservoir of professional talent
  • Monitor the Purchasing department’s performance measures standards and  Develop team activity/status and performance reports for management
  • Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external customers through communication, cooperation, and meeting and exceeding expectations.
  • Work closely with corporate IT&S and the vendor community to improve EDI usage
  • Ensure that the OREC report remains current and accurate
  • Optimize the use of the SMART system by maximizing online requisitioning, JIT, as well as EDI and electronic faxing utilization
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the SMART system and other PC based applications (Excel, Word, etc.)

 

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business Management, Healthcare Administration, or similar field preferred.
  • 3 to 7 years purchasing management experience.
