Job Summary: The Parallon PMO Manager is responsible for the development and maintenance of the infrastructure required to support the Project Management staff, Business Owners and other stakeholders. This includes ownership of the development and maintenance of standard methodologies, processes, technology and other tools to support our project management needs across Parallon. The position requires solid communication skills to lead the PMO operations, and to communicate to internal clients such as Parallon and HCA departments, and business partners/vendors, and requires technical skills to manage development and maintenance of Project Management systems and tools. The Manager must also be customer focused, execution-driven, and results-oriented with a demonstrated strong commitment and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done.
 
Duties:

  • Proactively develop, maintain, communicate, and educate Project Services Project Management Methodology, Tools and Processes.
  • Overall accountability for the development and delivery of any project management technology required to support the Parallon Project Management Methodology. This includes technology tools such as PerView (Microsoft Project Server), SharePoint, InfoPath, etc. Includes requirements gathering, design leadership, testing and implementation support, and strategic roadmap planning for PMO technology.
  • Proactively oversee the development and maintenance of all tools and templates used to support the Parallon Project Management Methodology.
  • Ensure the Parallon Project Management Methodology is consistent with and adheres to HCA Project Management minimum standards for project controls.
  • Create and conduct quality reviews in order to proactively assure that Parallon Project Management methodology, processes and controls are followed by all applicable Parallon Project Management personnel.
  • Provide day-to-day management, mentoring or coaching of Parallon PMO Staff as assigned.
  • Develop and maintain the on-boarding process for new Parallon Project Management staff and other project management partners
  • Support representation of Parallon on the HCA Project Management (PM) Council and related subcommittees.
  • Provide program and portfolio level status reporting to Parallon leadership, Business Owners and operations management as necessary
  • Support monitoring of Parallon portfolio tracking tools and processes.
  • Provide process and technical ownership of resource management processes for Project Management personnel, including time tracking and resource assignment management.


Job Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required


 
Experience:

  • 7 plus years of experience with managing multiple projects to successful completion, preferably in healthcare financial services, clinical operations, supply chain, or information systems-oriented environments
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience preferred, preferably in the healthcare industry
  • HCA/Parallon-based operations or systems experience a plus
  • PMO management, financial services, hospital operations, supply chain, or IT experience a plus


 
Certificate/License:

  • PMP and/or LEAN certifications preferred, but not required
