As a Payer Meeting Coordinator you are responsible for organizing the consolidation, preparation and tracking of payor meeting agendas in partnership with Revenue Cycle Leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs). A successful candidate will ensure Parallon Revenue Cycle topics are well understood, documented and supporting information to help highlight the issue(s) are well prepared. They will ensure that the information is provided to the payor in advance of the meetings to allow a productive discussion. The meeting coordinator will document the discussion and agreements made, timely distribute meeting minutes and track that commitments are followed through escalating as necessary. The Coordinator will also work well with HCA/Parallon support units to include PCA, Case Management, Division, etc. as necessary.
 
Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Gather and prepare payor meeting agenda topics with feedback Revenue Cycle Leaders including Patient Access, PDU, Collections, Billing, RI and Payment Compliance as necessary.
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of the Revenue Cycle in order to allow operational issues to be captured accurately
  • Ensure agendas and associated support are sent to payors with adequate advance notice to allow productive discussion in meetings
  • Develop strong payer relationships and nurture the spirit of accountability within Parallon and with the payors
  • Ensure commitments agreed to between Parallon and payor are followed through timely
  • Work productively with supporting teams, PCA, Contract Modeling, Coding, etc. as necessary
  • Track progress of payor packages and claim escalations sent to payor
  • Create reporting mechanisms to track progress and ensure results are always transparent and actionable
  • Escalate lack of cooperation or response as necessary to minimize surprises
  • Identifies and communicates contract interpretation issues and language discrepancies to leadership as appropriate.

  • Basic skills - demonstrates ability to organize, perform and track multiple tasks accurately in short timeframes, have ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple demands, and able to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, punctuate properly, spell correctly and transcribe accurately.

Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Master’s Degree Preferred
