This Manager of Patient Access is responsible for the daily operations of the Level I Trauma, Emergency Department at Medical City Plano and the free-standing ED, Medical City ER Plano. As the Manager of Patient Access, you will be responsible for integrating the department's services with the hospital's primary functions and developing/implementing policies and procedures that guide and support services in the patient registration department and related functions. You will also serve as liaison between our Shared Services Center and the hospital Administration. This role includes assessing and improving department performance and ensuring orientation and continuing education of departmental staff. Patient satisfaction and safety is key to the success of this role. 

 

Medical City Plano is a 427 bed hospital that registers approximately 138,000 patients annually.

  • Tactical Execution - oversees the development, deployment and direction of complex programs and processes

  • PC Skills - demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and others as required
  • Financial Management - applies tools and processes to successfully manage to budget

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required.
  • Equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement.

Experience

  • Patient Access experience
  • Minimum 3 years management experience
