  • Assign Insurance plans accurately
  • Preform pre-registration and insurance verification within 3-5 days prior to date of service for both inpatient and outpatient services.
  • Follow scripted benefits verification and pre-certification format in Meditch
  • Calculate patient cost share and be prepared to collect via phone or make payment arrangement
  • Contact patients via phone to confirm or obtain missing demographic information and instruct patient on where to resent at time of appointment
  • Ensure appropriate documentation is entered in standard format on the patient record.
  • Contact physician to resolve issues regarding prior authorization or referral forms

Job Requirements:
We are in need of an experienced patient access central unit representative. This role is responsible for timely and accurate process associated with pre-registration, insurance verification, pre-certification and insurance notification.   • 1 year of related experience required
  • High school diploma or GED required
