Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES - The PASHR Assistant serves as the primary resource for the

PASHR Director in supporting the PAS human resources function.




• Prepare personnel forms and compile paperwork for new employees and input information into EIS

• File employee data/information in a prescribed manner, making sure that all files are complete and


• Record changes in status on employee’ personnel records and in the EIS system to ensure records are


• Remove records of terminated employees from active files to terminated personnel file

• Maintain and order office supplies

• Keep PAS Manager informed of any problems or concerns noted in dealing with employees

• Maintain personnel, benefit, medical, and terminated files

• Open, date stamp, and sort incoming HR mail and faxes

• Copy, file, and distribute resumes to hiring personnel via fax, courier, and/or mail

• Send the monthly new hire, terminating, and address change logs to corporate

• Continually update and maintain facility address labels and phone numbers

• Prepare and send facility mail-outs

• Update employee information in the HR system, including address changes, stock, and terminations

• Prepare and forward check requests for advertising and contract labor to accounts payable department

• Complete and return job verifications

• Provide phone coverage for the HR department

• Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”

• Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred


• At least 1-3 years experience in Human Resources Management/Administration preferred

• Experience in healthcare provider finance operations or similar service environments preferred


PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS - Requires prolonged sitting, some bending,

stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a

keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing

and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Requires lifting papers or boxes up

to 25 pounds occasionally. Work is performed in an office environment. Work may be stressful at times.

Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Staff must remain flexible and available to

provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.
