As a HPF Appropriate Access Analyst, you will be responsible for responsible for performing HIPAA Appropriate Access Audits in HPF and Meditech. You will also Performs comparisons of patient demographics in source system (Meditech) and makes decisions concerning duplicate data and link data related to the same person under a unique medical record number.


What you will do in this role:
  • Perform HPF Appropriate Access Audits timely according to the HSC Appropriate Access Roles and Responsibilities policy identified in ISAM
  • Responsible for maintaining complete and accurate records of all HPF access audits and the outcomes of those audits
  • Communicates with management staff on outcome of investigation to ensure inappropriate access is reported to appropriate FPO for evaluation and reporting
  • State data error trends – responsible for identifying trends in types of errors at each facility and facilitating communication to the appropriate personnel for remedy

Qualifications:
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2 years’ experience in an office environment required, previous HIM or patient registration experience strongly preferred
  • Health Information Management and MEDITECH experience strongly preferred. 
  • Horizon Patient Folder experience is a plus
