Job Summary


The Education Director develops and implements company-wide education programs in order to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization including Parallon.  The director is responsible for oversight and direction of the daily and must demonstrate the ability to transform concepts in action. This person is a member of a cross functional team, which includes Business Owners, Project Management, and technology, and works closely with them to help implement change strategies that are consistent with the desired results. As the Education leader, this person also serves as a key promoter of the department as a service organization, which strives to identify and satisfy the needs of its customers.


Duties:


  • Develop standard education plan and courses.
  • Implement and provide direction for distance learning strategies and tools.
  • Assist in the development of communication tools.
  • Plan and coordinate design workshops or process-related meetings.
  • Direct education-related logistics.
  • Direct day-to-day activities of education personnel.
  • Implement train the trainer programs for new technologies and new training members for Parallon corporate teams and services centers.  
  • Analyze course evaluation data to plan future needs and maintain existing programs.
  • Implement an annual education needs assessment as input to the strategic education plan.
  • Research all methods for delivery of educational programs and recommend options to promote improved operational performance.
  • Strategically develop education plan implementation and coordination with communications.
  • Act as liaison and support for service center education directors and managers.





Job Requirements



Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or other comparable Bachelor Degree
  • Master’s Degree preferred in Education, Business, Healthcare or related field
  • Equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement.





Experience


  • 7 plus years education management experience managing multiple education initiatives to successful completion preferably in general healthcare, financial services, hospital operations, clinical, supply chain, or information systems-oriented environments
  • Strong education and communications background, including large scale system training implementation, instructional design, graphic design, e-Learning and distance learning methodologies experience
  • Minimum 4-6  years management experience
