THE POSITION:
  • Seeking a full-time Director of Supply Chain Operations who drives efforts to enable supply improvement initiatives within respective facility.
  • Individual who facilitates the standardization of products and optimizes supply utilization.  Enjoys collaborating with physicians and clinicians.
  • Actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising patient safety as well as quality of care and services delivered.
  • Executes operational plan for all hospital point-of-use systems and supply purchases at the facility.

Palm West Hospital- Palm Beach, FL

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Policies & Procedures – articulates knowledge and understanding of organizational policies, procedures and systems
  • PC Skills - demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and others as required
  • Financial Management – applies tools and processes to successfully manage to budget
  • Project Management – assesses work activities and allocates resources appropriately 

EDUCATION
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or similar is required

 
EXPERIENCE
 
  • Minimum of three years hospital management experience required 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate reports. Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 50 pounds occasionally. May be exposed to toxic/caustic/chemicals/detergents. Work is performed in an office, and in the pharmacy and hospital environment. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.
