Job Description

Parallon is seeking an experienced professional for our Director of Operations role. This role is full-time with benefits and will be in Richmond, VA. We are looking for a candidate who is very organized, analytical, with great leadership skills.

 

Job Summary - Responsible for daily operations of document-imaging and mail service functions and associated personnel.

 

Operational duties include, but are not limited to:

• Oversees Medical Record Document Imaging and other optical scanning services for the Revenue Cycle.
• Oversees mailroom and insurance document release functions.
• Provides relevant guidance for document imaging, mailroom and insurance document release managers
• Informs COO of any significant issues
• Proactively manages, including corresponding communications and escalation paths, significant issues, status of projects, barriers and successes.
• Reviews performance to ensure timeliness, accuracy, compliance and standards are fulfilled as defined in the Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• Works closely with SSC and HIM Directors in addressing issues related to accurate, timely receipt and scanning of records and mail.
• Coordinate and promote the development of strategy, specific goals, objectives, budgets and performance standards for reporting functions.
• Identify and implement process improvements to lower costs and improve service.
• Oversee management of personnel, providing recommendations for hiring, promotion, salary adjustment and personnel action where appropriate
• Coordinates training and education for personnel.
• Works with multi-disciplinary teams in addressing issues related to document imaging.
• Travel required up to 3-4 days per month
• Practices and adheres to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement"
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

EDUCATION:
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement

EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 3 years’ related industry experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years management/leadership experience preferred
• Consulting or proven work experience in areas of process transformation, process reengineering, shared services, change management and project management preferred
