Job Description

This position is for a customer centric outbound call unit.  Responsibilities for this level position include making a high number of outbound phone calls each day to healthcare practitioners, facilities, universities, medical staffing offices, etc., to obtain missing items required to credential healthcare practitioners. This includes reviewing a variety of daily reports to identify practitioner files that need specific action, making outgoing calls, and performing extensive, timely follow up. All work must be accurately documented in the credentialing database and all images must be reviewed and attached to the correct practitioner record. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required. Prior experience in a call center, hospitality, or telemarketing environment preferred.
 
Strong computer skills is a must, along with the ability to search the internet for additional information and follow up. Must successfully complete system training and score 85% on the post-training test. Will be expected to assist the Team Lead, Manager and Director with other tasks/projects as requested. Compliance with HCA policy and procedure, Federal and State regulatory and accrediting agencies is required. Must have a positive attitude, be a team player, dependable, and professional, and arrive/depart to and from according to scheduled hours.
 
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
    • 90% of daily activity will be making phone calls to meet quality and productivity standards
    • Data entry
    • Data analysis
    • Responsible for intake and tracking of all correspondence and maintaining documentation as requested
    • Pursue incomplete or missing information
    • Review provider files for accuracy, completeness of information, and identify/resolve any deficiencies
    • Primary source verification of select items


 
 
EDUCATION
    • High school graduate or GED required
    • Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred


 
EXPERIENCE
    • 2 years previous office experience including data entry, typing and basic computer usage
    • 2 years of experience making outbound phone calls in a call center, customer service, or telemarketing environment preferred
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe. Cactus experience a plus.
    • Previous credentialing experience preferred
