Job Description

Job Summary – Assists the Ethics & Compliance Officer (ECO) with the management of compliance-related initiatives within the Shared Services Center.

Supervises – Compliance Analyst
Duties (included but not limited to):
Under the direction of the ECO:
 Assists the ECO with completion of periodic reviews, audits and other requirements outlined in the ECO Functional Standards.
 Performs research and analysis on Corporate and federal payer rules, regulations and transmittals and communicates requirements to operational areas.
 Participates along with the ECO in the weekly Compliance Operations Meeting and assists with the tracking and resolution of compliance issues that affect operations. Collaborates with operational department managers to resolve compliance or regulatory concerns.
 Manages the daily operations of the Privacy Program including investigation and timely reporting of privacy issues.
 Review internal communications including those from Corporate Parallon and HCA, assess operational impact and provide education to operational leadership when necessary.
 Works with facilities on audit and re-bill projects related to potential governmental overpayment issues.
 Assist with the processing of Risk Management/Quality of Care incidents in accordance with client protocols.
 Coordinates the investigation of potential Identity Theft Red Flags cases.
 Performs sanctions screenings for vendor companies.
 Provides superb customer service to all clients.
 Practices and adheres to the Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Value Statement
 Assist with internal and external audits as needed. This can include the provision of documentation requested by the auditors.
 Participate in the Information Security Committee.
 Assists the ECO with due diligence in conducting Ethics Line investigations.

 Associate’s Degree required, preferably in a healthcare field.
 Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
 Equivalent work experience may substitute for degree requirement.
 4 years related work experience
 Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) preferred, but not required.
