We are in need of Collections Team Lead for our Non-Government department.  You will be part of a team managing non-Government account collections. In this role, you will assist the Management Team by providing staff with day-to-day coaching in performing their essential job functions, ensuring compliance, quality, call model accuracy, client specifics and collections practices workflow guidelines are adhered to. 
 
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, patient, and customer service policies
  • Call Model, Compliance, Quality
  • Handle difficult patient and third party follow-up problems
  • Review accounts recommended for write-off to ensure accounts have aged as determined by corporate/guidelines
  • Review accounts in bankruptcy
  • Review agency and attorney performance reports
  • Assist team members with questions, concerns, and complaints from insurance companies, patients, and other personnel
  • Work as a liaison between team members and service center staff
  • Assist with payroll activities for team members (i.e., time cards, edit sheets)
  • Establish working relationships with individuals at insurance companies
  • Assist manager with developing team goals and action plans
  • Assist with training and mentoring of new team members
  • Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”
  • Other duties as assigned
     
     



EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or GED required
     



EXPERIENCE

  • At least one year of collections experience required
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Training experience preferred
  • Basic Knowledge of UB, EOB, and remit advise preferred
  • Ability to meet production goals
  • Medicaid/Medicare experience not required but an plus
  • Experience with account resolution
  • Review and submit appeals on denied claims
  • AR insurance experience within a hospital CBO a plus
     
    Additional Qualifications
  • Good phone skills (clear Voice)
  • Multi task skills
  • Good time management skills
  • experience working in a production environment (fast paced)
  • Working knowledge Windows based software(Excel, PPT, outlook, word)
