Job Summary – The Collections Team Lead is responsible for coordinating day to day activities
for Collections operations.
Supervisor – Collections Manager
Supervises – not applicable
Duties (included but not limited to):
• Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, patient, and
customer service policies
• Handle difficult patient and third party follow-up problems
• Monitor pool inventories to ensure accounts are being worked and
resolved timely.
• Review and take action on high dollar accounts as directed.
• Perform quality reviews as required by Parallon/SSC policy.
• Assist team members with questions, concerns, and complaints from insurance
companies, patients, and other personnel
• Work as a liaison between team members and SSC staff
• Establish working relationships with individuals at insurance companies
• Assist manager with developing team goals and action plans
• Assist with training of new team members
• Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value
Statement”
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION
High School diploma or GED required.

At least one year of related experience required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
Requires prolonged sitting/standing, some bending, stooping, walking and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports or other information. Requires lifting papers/boxes and pushing/pulling up to 25 pounds occasionally. Work is performed in an office environment or hospital setting. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.
