Parallon Business Performance Group has the following Full Time opportunity available with the Richmond Shared Services Center, 7300 Beaufont Springs Drive, Richmond, Virginia. 
Charity Representative
The Charity Representative (Internal Title: Vendor Collections Management Charity Analyst) must have experience working in a revenue cycle environment and knows how to employ critical thinking.  Must have experience calculating income and applying the applicable policies per the facility to make assessments on patients that are eligible for charity.  Phone calls to patients may be required for additional documentation.  Being able to work in multiple systems is required.
Duties (included but not limited to):
  • Process Charity applications including reviewing the submitted documentation, requesting additional information when the initial documentation is not sufficient, determining whether the patient/guarantor qualifies for charity and processing the account through the Artiva Charity tool.
  • Assist patients with the Charity application process.
  • Handle patient calls regarding pending Charity applications.
  • Works Artiva Charity Pool, as assigned
  • Works OnBase Charity CWF and Charity ESC queues
  • Maintain state required documentation of Charity write-off’s (if applicable) schedules for use in year-end reporting to the State.
  • Assist when needed with the Vendor Collection Analyst processes.
  • Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
  • At least 1 related experience
  • Experience working with financial income and charity guidelines, preferred
  • Strong Excel experience required
