The Business Systems Analyst role is a key member of the Parallon Information Technology team, with the responsibility of working with users to define business solutions and developing, implementing, and supporting the technical components of that solution.

  • Work with users to define business requirements, document, and translate those into detailed program designs and code in support of COTS (custom off the shelf) applications
  • Translate requirements into detailed program designs, document and present to leadership
  • Apply technical knowledge and understanding of business processes to recommend opportunities for optimizing business processes through technology
  • Manage small projects, track progress, identify and communicate risks, status updates, and assess potential impacts to the business
  • Interact w/vendors and application developers to translate requirements into solutions
  • Leverage knowledge of the business application to optimize the configuration and utilization of application to ensure reliable, streamlined functionality
  • Define, document, and execute rigorous test plans to ensure implemented solutions meet documented requirements
  • Apply application code changes and integrated testing to QA and production environments, adhering to change management practices, with accuracy
  • Perform database queries of the application database to provide data for business decisions, resolution of issues, and validation of solutions
  • Provide second level support to resolve incidents or fulfill user requests- working with enterprise subject matter experts and technical resources
  • Ensure data security, integrity, and application reliability
  • Ensure system documentation is maintained and integrated test plans created and executed
  • Apply standard development methodologies throughout project life-cycle (SDLC, Agile, Scrum, and RUP)
  • Create jobs, scripts, and other tools for automation
  • Provide on-call assistance, as needed
  • Adhere to and support organizational IT standards, policies, and procedures
  • Adhere to Code of Conduct
  • Perform other duties, as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of a mix of programming languages, including C#.Net, VB.Net, C , and HTML and experience in object oriented design concepts and architecture
  • Basic understanding of Java, Apache, and JBoss in the ERP applications need to function properly
  • Knowledge of relational database structure and ability to monitor processing to identify issues
  • Knowledge of ETL integration functions and capabilities
  • Solid SQL skills in 2005/2008, including job scheduler and querying across a complex relational database
  • Experience in application upgrade or install of component of overall application
  • Creative, entrepreneurial approach to technological possiblities
  • Knowledge of hardware and operating systems in high volume production environment
  • Solid troubleshooting techniques in application, system, and 3rd party logs

Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields

  • 3 years of IT work experience
  • Experience in delivering solutions for Enterprise Wide Application (ERP)
  • Debt-manager (DM9) or Titanium from FICO experience preferred 
  • Healthcare revenue management experience preferred
