Application Developer
 
This candidate will have a track record of participation in successful new development projects and effective application support. 
 
This  is a.NET Developer position who will report to the Manager of Application Development and perform full-stack development on software solutions that support our business partners.  A successful candidate will demonstrate an understanding of software patterns, secure programming principles, test-driven development or another unit testing methodology, and code standards compliance.  This position requires a candidate who can analyze business requirements, perform design tasks, construct, test, and implement solutions with minimal supervision. 
 
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain applications to support the business. New applications are primarily .NET MVC/C#/HTML/CSS/JavaScript and SQL. New Application development includes front end user interface as well as middle tier and database layer. The developer will also assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, and small enhancements on legacy application mostly C# and SQL, and SQL ETL jobs and procedures. The developer will be required to learn about existing legacy systems and provide on-going second tier technical support for both existing and new applications. 
 
 Specific technical responsibilities:
  • Leads efforts to design, development, deploy, and support software systems primarily .net MVC web applications with SQL back end.
  • Collaborates as needed with management, business analysts, and customers on requirements.
  • Performs production application and SQL SSIS/ ETL job support
  • Support and/or new development of one or more applications which perform following functions:
    • Collect and interact with screen display data from a mainframe interface.
    • Collect and interact with screen display data from a web interface.


    • Connect and interact with an API service

EDUCATION:
  •  Bachelors Degree Information Systems or related degree. Equivalent technical education may substitute degree requirement.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Software development experience required including at least

    • C# experience
    • TSQL
    • .NET Web Development experience  (MVC preferred)


  • Team Foundation server for DevOps preferred.
  • JQuery, JavaScript framework such as Angular experience preferred.
  • Unit testing experience preferred.
  • Application troubleshooting experience required.
  • Willingness to learn our business domain required.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) required.
  • Knowledge of legacy stack including Web Forms and VB.net highly preferred.
     
    Technical Skills:

  • Skilled in Microsoft .NET framework application development with Visual Studio, C#.
  • Has a foundational understanding of database configuration and integration concepts. 
  • MS-SQL server database and TSQL programming skills.
  • Has some knowledge of data transfer tools such as SSIS. MVC, AJAX, HTML, and JavaScript preferred.
  •  Should have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
