GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES – The Application Developer develops database and web applications to support the Patient Account Service Center (PAS). The position is responsible for ascertaining business requirements from PAS business users and incorporating those requirements into applications that meet the defined need(s). The position is also responsible for assisting the Application Development Manager with other duties as assigned including maintenance and support of ongoing applications.
 
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Assists in developing, supporting and maintaining database and web applications, strong web applications architecture and design skills needed
  • Fast, clean, efficient code implementation.
  • In-depth knowledge of ASP.NET MVC/C#/HTML/CSS/JavaScript and SQL
  • 5 years’ experience developing ASP.NET MVC web applications on .Net and SQL Server platforms
  • Experience working with SQL Server Integration Services and Reporting Services as well as HTML, CSS and JS frameworks such as Bootstrap and /or Zurb Foundations
  • We are looking for someone who is team oriented and has the ability to participate in technical discussions about bringing improvements to our environment
  • Strong customer empathy and customer experience sensitivity
  • Highly self-motivated, ambitious, flexible and self-sufficient
  • Assists in developing prototypes/models and determining data sources (if applicable)
  • Coordinates system and user acceptance testing
  • Creates and maintains application documentation
  • Resolves application issues as instructed
  • Acts as liaison between Application Development and Shared Services business user
  • Provides technical guidance to business users
  • Performs monthly application monitoring and maintenance as assigned

 
EDUCATION
• Bachelors Degree Information Systems or related degree. Equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement.
 
EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of 2-4 years Information Technology experience including database and web application design. Prior DBA experience beneficial.
  • Preferred 5 years of programming experience with a large company
  • Experience with HCA systems preferred.
