Job Summary
The Manager of Education is responsible for managing the efficient and effective design, development, and delivery of education initiatives implemented by Parallon.  This individual is a member of a cross functional team, which includes training developers, specialists, business owners, project management, IT&S and others as needed.  This individual will work closely with these various groups to develop, implement and manage change strategies that are needed to achieve desired results.  As a highly strategic department representative, this individual consistently demonstrates solid management skills and behaviors, in addition to continually striving to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Duties (included but not limited to):

  • Develop strategic education plans which outline target audience, training needs, training methods, approach to content development, implementation, and training evaluation.
  • Manage the development of content-specific, competency-based, and operational-based education programs as assigned, in conjunction with technical experts from the field. Content will include train the trainer, leadership, and end-user functional training programs.
  • Manage the delivery of training programs to various groups, including leadership teams and end-users. Delivery methods may include instructor-led, train-the-trainer, virtual classroom, web-cast, or web-based methodologies.
  • Manage the maintenance of training administration records.
  • Manage the analysis of course evaluations, and determine appropriate action to incorporate feedback into monthly performance and annual education reports.
  • Manage educational pilot courses to determine program refinements and improvements.
  • Strategize with other Parallon departments to integrate new standards, models, and company initiatives into existing standard training programs.

Moderate travel required, including Corporate, Shared Services Center (SSC) and facility site visits

Job Requirements

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of training, development and delivery experience required (including instructional design, adult learning principles, and technology-based education)
  • Minimum 2-4 years management experience required.
  • Healthcare background preferred
